Oxshott

Oxshott is a village in Surrey situated amidst the fields and woodlands of Oxshott Heath. Within 5 minutes drive of the A3 and junction 9 of the M25 it provides easy access to Heathrow and Gatwick airports and the national motorway network.

There is an excellent railway service to London Waterloo taking approximately 35 minutes and a local bus service available to Esher and Kingston.

Oxshott is situated in London's stockbroker/commuter belt and the area consequently has some of the highest property prices in the UK. In 2010, the Daily Telegraph called Oxshott "the most expensive village in England".

The village has one Anglican church, St. Andrew's. Oxshott has its own popular primary school, the Royal Kent. There are a number of well respected private schools in the area, including Danes Hill Preparatory School, and Bevendean Pre Prep. Another notable school located in the area is Reed's School which caters for boys aged 11 to 18 and girls aged 16 to 18 with its own tennis academy.

Oxshott Sports Club is a vibrant part of the village having expanded from the village cricket club founded in 1896. Oxshott also has two popular public houses: The Victoria and The Bear. Both offer substantial menus to cater for all tastes.

There are several excellent areas for walkers and horse riders including Oxshott Heath, Prince’s Coverts and Fairmile Common with numerous paths and tracks.

Today, Oxshott is a thriving residential village thanks to its relative proximity to London coupled with its semi-rural location.
